Handmade Jewellery

  2. After this the mould is transferred to a wheel made of iron which is used to roll the metal and convert it into sheets or wires. To create different parts of the ornaments, these metal sheets and wires are used.
  3. The base of the jewellery is created afterward that are made to hold the gemstones. After completion of all the pieces of ornament, they are soldered together to create a final piece of jewellery.
  4. Lastly, the piece of jewellery is washed and cleaned properly to remove all the dirt from it and the gemstones are placed by the craftsman very carefully. You can see that all the handcrafted gold jewellery designs have very fine work carved on them.

Gold Casting Method

  1. It is a very prevalent method of making unique jewellery designs that are done with the help of using software named CAD that is used to design a wax model with the help of a 3D printer.
  2. The making is started by creating a mould of the chosen jewellery design. After that, hot wax is added to the mould so that after getting cool down it gets its shape. Then the hardened wax is taken out from the mould for further work.
  3. In the next step the wax jewellery is filled with the plaster and after that, it is placed in a furnace. This process is done to melt the wax and extract it from the plaster. The hardened cavity of that plaster is then used for putting the melted gold in it. When the gold gets cool down, the gold jewellery is polished and cleaned properly to turn it into a beautiful piece of jewellery.

There is one more method called “Die Striking” that is used to make thin and light-weighted pieces of gold jewellery.
